📍 China
Huawei’s Ox Horn Campus is a research and development complex in Dongguan’s Songshan Lake area, in Guangdong province. Its 12 European-inspired districts draw on places such as Oxford and Heidelberg, replacing the conventional technology-park skyline with historic-looking towers, courtyards and streets. This architecture is a purpose-built setting for contemporary Chinese technology research, rather than a surviving European settlement. Red campus trains connect the districts, their bright carriages providing a recognizable contrast to stone façades, bridges and landscaped grounds. The broad views reveal the scale of this architectural experiment, while closer compositions emphasize its borrowed styles. As a working Huawei campus rather than a public theme park, entry is restricted.
