The Overwaard Windmill, located in Kinderdijk, is one of the most iconic sights in the Netherlands. The windmill was built in 1793 and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the windmill, visitors can get a spectacular view of the surrounding polder landscape and the 19 other windmills that form part of the Kinderdijk. The windmill is open to the public and visitors can explore the surrounding canal and admire the view of the gently swaying grasses.
