The Outer Drive Bridge is a magnificent cable-stayed bridge in Chicago, United States. Spanning Lake Shore Drive, the 4,300-foot-long bridge features six towers and provides an excellent view of downtown Chicago and the lake. The Outer Drive Bridge was built in 1980 and serves as a integral part of Chicago's expressway system. Atop the bridge, large sculptures of eagles, designed by sculptor Magdalena Abakanowicz, overlook the city. Renovations were completed in 2002, adding to the bridge's aesthetic appeal. During the summer, the bridge lights up at night, providing an equally stunning view of Chicago after dark. Take your time crossing this landmark structure and marvel at the beauty of Chicago's skyline.
