The Orrido di Nesso is a breathtaking waterfall tucked away high in the mountains near the town of Nesso, in Lombardy, Italy. It is a truly unique natural phenomenon, flowing into the depths of a deep gorge and filled with an abundance of lush greenery. The falls were formed thousands of years ago by the action of the river eroding the underlying rock, but the result is stunning. The gorge is covered in stones of all sizes, and the water cascades down the valley walls, giving it a unique atmosphere that is both wild and peaceful at the same time. Visitors can take a boat ride across the lake, or take a scenic walk along the edge of the gorge. It's worth noting that the entire area is a protected nature reserve, so be sure to follow all posted guidelines if you do decide to explore on foot.
