The original Beavertail Lighthouse is located in a historic old town of Jamestown, Rhode Island in the United States. This lighthouse is the oldest and most photographed lighthouse in all of New England. Built in 1749, the lighthouse is located on the southern tip of Conanicut Island and offers amazing views of both the Atlantic Ocean and Rhode Island Sound. The surrounding area is ideal for taking leisurely walks, engaging in a variety of water sports, and admiring the spectacular nature that surrounds the lighthouse. Take a step back in time and explore the area's long history with the Beavertail Lighthouse Museum nearby. Be sure to bring along a camera as the views from this area are truly incredible!
