Opera House
📍 From Front, Australia
The historic Sydney Opera House, located on Sydney Harbour, is one of Australia's most iconic and widely recognised structures. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon and opened in 1973, the building's striking shell tiles, fabulous harbour side location and famous yin-yang shaped design have made it one of the world's most recognisable buildings. The Opera House is host to over 1,500 events and performances every year, ranging from theatre shows and classical concerts, to opera and symphony performances and circus acts. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the complex, making it a great place to visit at any time of the year. The Opera House is set on the Toronto Foreshore, next to a long stretch of public parkland, and is conveniently close to Circular Quay, one of Sydney's major transport hubs. It's a great place to hop-off before exploring the nearby areas.
