The Olympic Rings in Atlanta are iconic symbols of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games. The Olympic Rings were originally housed on the Centennial Olympic Park, where they were first lit up in the opening ceremonies. The installation is located at the intersection of two major highways, I-85 and I-75 which gives it great visibility. The Rings themselves are made up of five billboards, each featuring 24-foot-tall Olympic Rings lit with multi-colored LED lights. This installation is an important site for Athlete organizations and sports fans alike, especially during the Summer Olympics. The Olympic Rings are also worth a visit for the many markers that commemorate the Games, such as the 1996 Summer Olympic Games logo and the Cor Dēlepoulle sculpture.
