The Old Dyea Dock is one of Skagway's most spectacular attractions. The remains of a once-thriving town, it is now a state historic site and protected area, with a small park and spectacular views of the Taiya River, the Chilkoot Inlet, and the rugged cliffs and peaks of the St. Elias Mountains. Although a remnant of bygone days, the dock is still connected to the shore via cables and serves as a reminder of the town's heyday as a bustling port. Visitors can explore the dock and surrounding area, and enjoy the panoramic views. While the photo opportunities are boundless, the dock is best seen by boat or on foot, allowing visitors to explore and appreciate the history of the area.
