Originally built in the 14th century, the Old Cathedral of Vyborg stands as one of the city’s oldest landmarks, though it has undergone several restorations due to fires and conflicts. Blending medieval and neo-Gothic features, it reflects the region’s complex past under Swedish, Russian, and Finnish rule. Visitors can admire sturdy stone walls and unique arches, while remnants of historical charm remain in its stonework and decorative details. Though much of the interior was lost, the cathedral still offers insight into Vyborg’s religious heritage. Located near Market Square, its surroundings invite a stroll along cobblestone streets.
