📍 United States
Ohio Street Beach is a compact stretch of sand on Lake Michigan in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood, just north of Navy Pier and beside Milton Lee Olive Park. Unlike most Chicago beaches, it faces north, giving it a distinctive orientation within the city’s lakefront landscape. It is also a well-known starting point for open-water swimmers, who follow the shoreline north toward Oak Street Beach. From the sand and adjoining paths, Streeterville’s closely packed towers rise behind the curving waterfront, creating a striking contrast between the scale of downtown Chicago and the open expanse of the lake.
