
Lisboa's Oceanarium is the second largest aquarium in the world, after the one in Chimelong, Guangzhou. It houses 16,000 animals from 450 species, including several threatened or endangered ones. Its most iconic installations are the giant central tank that reaches a depth of 8 meters, its jellyfish room and outdoor ponds. The Oceanarium hosts various exhibitions such as the "Giants of the Ocean" and Aquatic Art. It is a place of leisure, learning and reflection, open all year round.
