The Lisbon Oceanarium is one of the biggest and most spectacular aquariums in Europe. Situated in the Parque das Nações district of Lisbon, it boasts over 15,000 fish of 450 different species, spread over 96 tanks - including sharks and manta rays. It also features interactive exhibitions and spectacular shows like the Bird Show, the Dolphin Show and the Sea Lions Show. The building is a glass-covered structure, consisting of a grand central basin holding 2,000,000 liters of seawater. The aquarium's interiors represent the real habitats of the sea - oceans, temperate waters, coral gardens – in full-scale replica. This is a great place to learn about the oceans, its wildlife and its conservation. Besides the main attraction, the complex offers a range of other activities, such as a 3D Cinema, Tourist and Educational Programs, and Gifts Shops.
