The Obertorturm is one of the main attractions in Gengenbach, Germany, and is a 12th-century tower that was part of the old city walls. Today it serves as an observation tower and the views from the top platform are magnificent. Visitors can also explore the history of the city within its walls and check out the old well, which stands more than 25 meters high, and the yard of the old palace. Inside the tower, there is an exhibition of photographs and documents that tell the story of the city in times past. For those who want to enjoy the outdoors, there are also several nearby walking trails and parks.
