Located in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg borough, this picturesque double-decker bridge spans the Spree River and connects the two boroughs of Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg. Built in 1896-1896, it has become an important symbol of the city and its reunited east and west. The bridge is composed of steel girders and stone, and is adorned with decorative towers. Visitors can also enjoy views of the Berlin skyline as they walk across the bridge. From the middle of the bridge, you’ll get an amazing overview of the River Spree.
