๐ From Path, New Zealand
Nugget Point Lighthouse, in Ahuriri Flat, New Zealand is a magnificent coastal landmark that dates back to 1869. Standing at just 46 feet tall, the distinctive white stone structure, built from locally quarried limestone, is perched atop a cliff and is surrounded by rugged sea-stacks and ocean views on all sides. From here, visitors can take in panoramic vistas of the wild Southern Pacific and witness breathtaking sunsets. There is a short trail around the lighthouse and the cliffs that offers ample opportunities to capture the beauty of the area through the lens of your camera or cellphone. Be sure to watch out for the native wildlife, including fur seals, Yellow-eyed penguins and various seabirds. The lighthouse, steeped in history and surrounded by wild nature, is an amazing place to explore and enjoy.
