
Novo Hopovo Monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery situated in the south of Serbia, south of Kruševac. Built in the 13th century, this monastery is one of the most remarkable monuments in the area. It is highly depictive of Serbia’s medieval history, with its beautiful architecture and wall paintings. The two-storey monastery is built in the traditional morava style and is surrounded by fortress walls. It comprises of a chapel, monastery buildings and a large keep. There are also a number of old residences which have been there since the early 15th century, as well as a variety of outbuildings and frescoes which are scattered throughout the complex. The main attractions of the monastery are its library and its ruins, which tell the story of its past glory and provide visitors with glimpses of Serbia's medieval history. Novo Hopovo Monastery is a great place to visit if you're interested in Serbian culture and history.
