Notre Dame de Tronoen, in Saint-Jean-Trolimon, France, is an 11th century Romanesque chapel with a classic facade of three doorways, gallery and a bell tower. Inside, there are wonderful frescoes and a large wooden altar. The church is the only one of its kind in the region and provides an authentically rural atmosphere. It is in a very quiet, rural setting and its interior has an air of solemnity and stillness. Every August, a pilgrimage pilgrimage is made to Notre Dame de Tronoen and it is an important local event.
