Noor Mahal is a beautiful 19th century palace located in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Built in 1872 by Nawab Soah Sadiq Muhammad Khan IV on the orders of his wife whose name it commemorates, this grand palace is known for its unique blend of Mughal, Hindu Rajput and Victorian architectural styles. The main building is a three-storied edifice and its dominating feature is a 39 m high tower. The palace interior is extravagantly designed with stunning marble and intricate woodwork that stands testament to the exemplary craftsmanship of its Italian builders. It is surrounded by lush green gardens and ponds which further add to the beauty of this palace. Noor Mahal is a popular tourist attraction in Bahawalpur and a perfect example of the city’s rich heritage and culture.
