Nicolaaskerk is a historical church located in Nieuwegein, Netherlands. It was built in 1781 by the Graaf van Yamwegen estate, and renovated in the 19th century. The church is renowned for its Neogothic façade and its dimensions – it is one of the largest in the area. Inside, visitors can admire its baroque and classicist interior, including the impressive pulpit and organ, as well as beautiful stained-glass windows. In the grounds of the church, visitors can explore a statue park dedicated to Johan de Waal, which illustrates the 17th- and 18th-century Dutch fashion. A must-see, and a popular photography spot, is the graveyard which hosts the tombs of prominent Dutch families. Visitors can also see a plaque with the names of civilians killed in the Second World War.
