📍 From Skywalk, Germany
Neuschwanstein Castle, located in Schwangau near the German city of Füssen, is a breathtaking 19th century Romanesque Revival palace. Perched atop a hill overlooking the valley below, it appears as if straight out of a fairy tale. First commissioned by King Ludwig II in 1869, the castle was designed as an idealized version of a medieval knight's fortress, complete with turrets, towers, and archway entrances. A draw for many visitors today, the castle's hilltop location and architectural beauty make it an ideal spot for many photographs. The interior of the castle is just as stunning as the exterior; visitors can take a guided tour to explore the many opulent rooms and hallways, including the Grand Hall of Mirrors, the Throne Room and the King's Chamber.
