Neues Palais is a magnificent Baroque palace situated at the western end of Sanssouci Park in Potsdam, Germany. It was constructed between 1763 and 1769 under King Frederick the Great of Prussia as a symbol of triumph after the Seven Years' War. The palace's opulent architecture features over 200 lavishly decorated rooms, intricate Rokoko and classicist interiors, and the stunning Grottensaal, a hall adorned with shells, stones, and minerals. For photo-travelers, the palace's grand façade, ornate ceiling frescoes, and the surrounding formal gardens offer breathtaking visual opportunities. The nearby Communs, impressive symmetrical annexes, provide further architectural charm. Capture the grandeur during early morning or late afternoon for the best lighting.
