Neuchâtel Castle is a castle located in the town of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was constructed in the 12th century by the lords of Neuchâtel, for defensive purposes. Today, it is the main landmark of the city and plays an important role in its cultural heritage. The castle is the home of the Swiss National Museum and consists of four main buildings: the two round towers, the keep, and the donjon. Within the walls you can find picturesque courtyards, fountains, and gardens. The interior of the castle is open to the public and contains a large collection of historic artifacts. The castle also serves as the venue for numerous festivals and events throughout the year.
