The Nederlandse Hervormde Kerk is a striking church located in the Dutch coastal city of Nieuwpoort. It was built in 1605, making it the oldest building in the town. The architecture of this historic church follows a typical Dutch design, with a wide central nave, two side aisles, and a rectangular transept. Its exterior is surrounded by a large cemetery and the main entrance is flanked by a pair of gatehouses. Inside, visitors can admire its magnificent 15th century Gothic altar, the grand organ, John the Baptist Statue, and its painted ceiling. The church also features a clock tower that is an excellent example of 18th-century carpentry construction methods. Nederlandse Hervormde Kerk is a great stop for visitors to learn about the history of the city and admire its impressive architecture.
