Natuurgebied Lesse is a nature reserve located in Dinant, Belgium. Spanning an area of 305 hectares, Lesse is known for its stunning river valleys complete with meandering streams, rugged cliffs and natural rock formations. The park contains dense forests, along with grasslands, marshes and sandbanks, as well as numerous plant and animal species native to the area.
The park has plenty of trails and pathways suitable for walking, biking, and horseback riding. It's also popular for canoeing and kayaking along Lesse River. Depending on the difficulty of the path, trails will take between two and six hours to complete. Natuurgebied Lesse is a popular destination for birdwatching, due to many bird species living in the park. Other creatures like foxes, badgers and wild boar can also be spotted. During spring and summer, visitors can see blooming wildflowers, and take in the natural beauty of the reserve. There are also several ancient ruins, such as old castles and forts, that make Lesse a site of historical interest.
