
The National Museum of African American History and Culture is located in Washington, United States. It celebrates the life and culture of African Americans. Visitors may explore the collection's nine inaugural exhibitions, or step outside the galleries to take in optional theater experience, the Smithsonian Gardens, and many other activities. Famous exhibits include a full-scale replica of a 1903 segregated railroad car and sculptures aboard the Leroy Almon, a prison tugboat, and the ornate Gate of No Return at Elmina Castle in Ghana. The museum also houses a cafe, literature library, a public plaza, and a state-of-the-art theater.
