National Museum

The National Museum in Nové Město in Prague is a treasure trove of Czech culture and history. The building on the Wenceslas Square was built in the late 19th century with sculptures and friezes covering its façade. Inside, visitors can marvel upon the museum's collections of unique artifacts, books and maps, and displays about the history of Czech lands. It is particularly renowned for its weapons and armor collection, among the most important in Europe. Other collections include coins and medals, archaeological finds, and Czech Jewish artworks. An impressive library containing around 400,000 books and periodicals, as well as manuscripts and prints, are all housed in the museum. It is one of the most visited museums in the country and a symbol of Czech heritage.
