Nakalele Blowhole and Heart Shaped Rock are two of the most picturesque landmarks located on Maui's northern shore. The blowhole is a powerful and unpredictable geyser of seawater, which often reaches heights of up to 100 feet! It's an amazing spectacle to behold, and is best experienced on a day with blowing winds and high seas. The Heart-shaped Rock, as its name implies, is a small rocky formation nestled in a crescent of beach, surrounded by an intense black lava cliff and crashing waves. Nearby are a few tidepools and tide-flooded lava caves that make the area a unique and captivating area to explore. The views from the overlook are spectacular and provide a beautiful glimpse of Maui's rugged coastline. Be wary of the harsh surf and treacherous waves, as they could pose a danger to anyone in the water.
