📍 From Shukubo Sonsho-in Temple, Japan
Nachi Falls, located in Nachikatsuura, Japan, is one of the most beautiful spots in the country. The 133 m waterfall tumbles down over an entry gate to the Seianto-ji Temple, Japan's oldest Buddhist temple. Nachi Falls is also sacred, being one of the three largest waterfalls in Japan and the largest waterfall in all of Kii Peninsula. The grand sight of grandiosity, tranquility, and serenity of these places is a must-see. The temple, meanwhile, offers more than a thousand years’ worth of Japanese culture, making it a great place to appreciate the history and culture of the area. The Nachikatsuura-cho Waterfall Festival is held every year, offering a chance to experience the beauty of this place and all the local customs at the same time.
