Muxia is a town in the Spanish province of La Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia. It is located at the end of the Muxía cape, about 30 kilometers away from the city of Santiago de Compostela. It is a beautiful coastal fishing village known for possessing ancient esoteric and spiritual properties. The church of Santa Maria, built in the 16th century, is a main feature. There are several beaches along the coast such as Lourido and Porto do Barqueiro, where there are some extraordinary views. You can also visit the sanctuary of the Pilgrim Virgin of Barca and the Fonceda lagoons, a natural paradise full of species of migrating birds. The ‘pebble bridge’ connects the two ‘mountains of the stars’ which is sure to take your breath away. The Mirador of Corcubion, where you can get the most spectacular view of the Muxía cape, is another must-see. Spanish cuisine and seafood restaurants are popular for visitors to enjoy.
