
The Museum of Breisach City History in Breisach am Rhein, Germany offers visitors the conclusive glimpse into some of the most amazing and thought-provoking artefacts and documents from the city's history. Established in 1994, the museum houses collections from as early as the 9th century, with a special focus being the period from the 16th to the 19th century. It holds an immensely rich collection of artefacts from this period, such as firearms, weapons and ancient documents. One of the major attractions is a 1.5-metre-high stained glass window showing views of Breisach from the 16th century. The museum also offers guided tours which include documents on Jewish history, the Thirty Years War and the Battle of Breisach. A restaurant is located inside the museum and serves a variety of traditional dishes.
