
Museo de Bellas Artes: Emilio Caraffa is an important art museum in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. Located in the heart of downtown, the museum houses a wide array of Europeanand Latin American painting and sculpture from the 19th century to the present day. Its collections also include artifacts from the ancient Mayan civilization, Latin American textiles, and photography. Works of renowned Argentine and international artists, including Julio Escalada, Alfonsina Storni, Emilio Pettoruti, Juan Carlos Castagnino, and,. Emilio Marañón, can be found in the permanent exhibition. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions devoted to particular artists and art movements as well. In addition to its permanent and special exhibits, the museum also offers art workshops, lectures, and other educational activities for both adults and children. The museum also serves as a home for the Cordoba appearance of October’s live musical “Mala Junta”, which takes place every year in October. Visiting the museum is free of charge and is open on weekdays from 9am to 6pm and on weekends from 10am to 6pm.
