Museo Davia Bargellini is a lovely museum in the centre of Bologna, Italy. It offers a nice display of 17th and 18th century landscape paintings, sculptures and decorative art, along with a selection of works by local artists like Marco Zoppo, Bartolomeo Venturelli and Antonio Basoli. It is a great place to learn more about Italian art and culture. The building dates back to 1285 and was originally used as an abbey and later became a public library. Its current collection began in 1849 when Count Davia Bargellini donated his huge personal art collection to the museum. The museum's permanent collection also includes a jewelry collection, archaeological finds from ancient Rome, and some interesting Greek and Roman objects. Don't miss the café at the back garden, where you can enjoy a delicious Italian ice cream while admiring the peaceful garden and views.
