📍 France
The Musée du quai Branly - Mur Végétal is part of the museum complex consisting of the Musée du Quai Branly, the Jacques Chirac Cultural Centre, and the Church of the Virgin and Saint Pers. Located in Paris, France, the wall is covered in Quercus michauxii (Australian oak) and Muhlenbergia capillaris (pink muhly grass). It was designed to provide a high level of biodiversity, with the objective of raising visitor awareness about environmental protection. The wall's 500 square meters of hollow, inclined surfaces provide a habitat for more than 150 species of plants. It is a great place to admire vegetation and observe the relationship between plants, animals and humans. This vibrant display of natural beauty won a Luc Awards in 2020 in the category of "Biodiversity Art".
