The Musée Berbère or Jardin Majorelle is an outdoor museum and iconic garden in Marrakech, Morocco. The creation of the garden began in the 1920s by French painter Jacques Majorelle, who crafted a unique combination of local and exotic plant species, streams, pools and walkways. After being acquired by Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé in the 1980s, the garden was restored to its original beauty. Today, the garden is comprised of a cactus garden with many rare species, colorful fountains, and a beautiful pond surrounded by lush vegetation. The museum showcases traditional artifacts related to the Berber culture and its population, as well as a selection of Majorelle’s original works of art. With its peaceful atmosphere and spectacular gardens, the Musée Berbère Jardin Majorelle is a must-visit destination for every traveler in Marrakech.
