Mura di Staggia is an old fortification located in the municipality of Staggia, Italy. This magnificent structure was built in the 13th century and has withstood the test of time for centuries. The walls stretch for about 800 meters, and inside the walls is the old village of Staggia complete with the church of Santa Croce and a castle dating back to the 16th century. Today, the walls provide tourists and photographers with a unique opportunity to explore history and geography. An impressive view can be had from the walls and its surroundings, as the hills turn into a majestic panorama of ancient houses and wooded valleys. There are several points of interest in and around the village of Staggia, including a maze of statutes that form a “Land Art” path, a historical olive oil mill, and the Oratorio di San Nicolò church. As a result, Mura di Staggia offers visitors a peaceful atmosphere full of history, culture and tradition.
