Münster Unserer Lieben Frau is the principal historic Catholic church on Lindau’s island old town, its tower rising above the compact cluster of rooftops that meet the Lake Constance waterfront. Visually it anchors the town: from the harbor and promenade the church silhouette frames the lake and, on clear days, the distant Alpine line, giving strong foreground–background scale. The exterior shows medieval stonework and a pronounced tower that reads well in low-angle light; inside, coloured glass and vaulted spaces modulate daylight for intimate interior compositions. The building remains an active parish, so maintain quiet and respectful behavior during services.
