Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is a majestic 611-foot cascading waterfall located in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, east of Corbett. It consists of two unconnected falls; the upper falls drops in two tiers, making a total drop of about 542 feet, while the lower falls plunges 69 feet. The falls are connected by a footbridge that crosses the misty waters of the Columbia River and is one of the most photographed tourist attractions in Oregon. The picturesque views of the Columbia River gorge, the nearby Benson Bridge and the falls themselves make the site an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers alike. Numerous walking trails nearby offer further exploration possibilities; either to the top of the falls, where an observation deck allows a closer view of the falls, or to viewpoints below the bridge, accessible via a steep, winding path. For those adventurous enough, an above-water view of the falls can be achieved by taking a Kayak out to the plunge pool.
