Mt. Fuji and Chureito Pagoda are two key places of interest in Fujiyoshida, Japan. While Mt. Fuji is an iconic Japanese landmark, standing tall at 12,388 feet as the country’s tallest peak, the Chureito Pagoda is just as impressive with its impressive five-storied pagoda building standing nearly 400 feet tall. Mt. Fuji can be viewed from the pagoda, thus making it a popular spot for photos. Both spots offer captivating views of the surrounding area. For Mt. Fuji, the Kawaguchi-ko, Yamanakako, and Motosuko lakes are the most popular points of interest. The Kawaguchi-ko lake offers a great view from the Shin-Fuji Station, and Mt. Fuji can be seen in its full glory from both the station and the lake. The Yamanakako lake also offers a great view from the Yamanakako Station, and the Motosuko lake offers a full view from the nearby Gotemba Station. During the spring and summer months, the area around Mt. Fuji is filled with brilliant colors of budding flowers, making this the ideal time to visit.
