Mount Maunganui Beach is a sheltered beach that is located on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island, in the town of Mount Maunganui. This beach is especially popular with locals and tourists alike because of its golden sand and crystal clear waters. It also has a 270-degree panoramic view encompassing a number of offshore islands and the nearby port of Tauranga. Swimming, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and fishing are some of the popular activities that can be enjoyed here. On the eastern side of the beach, visitors can find a walking track that ascends to the summit of Mauao (Mount Maunganui). In addition, the waterfront area is an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll. There are several restaurants, cafes, and food stands located in the area, making it an ideal spot for a quick bite or a romantic lunch.
