
Mount Fuji Tori Gate, located in Oyama, Japan, is a grand entrance to the spiritual path that leads up the side of Mount Fuji. This historic stone archway is made of granite, and is dedicated to haiku poet Matusihiko Oyama, who wrote a famous poem about Mt Fuji and the surrounding area. It is said that Mt Fuji follows the poet with its divinely beautiful light. The Tori gate, surrounded by pines and cypress trees, symbolizes Mt Fuji's spiritual path.
