📍 United Kingdom
Mount Florida Bowling Club is a traditional lawn-bowls ground in Mount Florida, on Glasgow’s South Side and close to Hampden Park. Its carefully maintained green and modest clubhouse reflect the enduring role of bowling clubs in Scottish community life, combining sport with a neighbourhood social space. Visually, the scene is defined by the crisp geometry of the rinks, bowls resting against close-cut turf, and the contrast between the ordered green and the surrounding urban district. It remains a working local club, so matches and everyday community activity give the setting its character.
