Morro Dois Irmãos is a twin-peak mountain located in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro. With an elevation of just under 400 meters (1312 feet) it's one of the most iconic views of Rio and can be seen in many postcards and photographs. It towers over Ipanema beach, offering spectacular views of both beach, the ocean and the green mountains of Tijuca National Park. At the top of the mountain there is a small park with stone walkways and benches, a perfect place for a picnic or to just sit and enjoy the panorama. The hike to the top is accessible and relatively easy, making it a popular destination for both local and international tourists. The trail is mostly paved, although parts of it can be slippery in wet weather. Make sure to keep your eyes open for the unmistakable views of Rio throughout the hike. Once you reach the top, take a break and enjoy the breathtaking view!
