📍 From South, Canada
Moraine Lake is a stunning glacier-fed lake in the world-famous Valley of the Ten Peaks in the Canadian Rockies. With its mesmerizing blue waters and the jagged ten peaks providing a breathtaking background, the lake is one of the most photographed locations in Canada. A moraine is a mound of rocks and sediment, deposited by a glacier along its path, and it’s these the lake is named after. At the end of spring and summer, the lake usually overflows after getting filled with melted glacial water, giving it an extra unreal shade of blue. Look out for numerous wild animals including elks, bears and deer. Hiking and canoeing are two popular activities in the area. There are plenty of trails to explore and the canoe experience offers a unique and thrilling perspective. Enjoy the stunning views, take a few photos and make sure to get a scenic boat ride, for an unforgettable experience.
