๐ From Small Pier, Canada
Moraine Lake is located in the Valley of the Ten Peaks in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. This stunningly beautiful glacially-fed lake is one of the most photographed lakes in the world due to its unique colour and shape, which can be breathtaking in the right light. It sits high above sea level at 1910m (6270ft). To get there from Lake Louise follow the Moraine Lake Road to the end in the Moraine Lake parking lot. From there a short but steep walk takes visitors up to the lake. The lake is surrounded by a dozen peaks over 2,750m (9000 feet) that form a horseshoe shape, making it an idyllic setting. Depending on the time of year, the lake can be reached via kayak or canoe allowing visitors a different view of lake, wildlife and mountain scenery.
