The National Historical Monument to the Argentine Flag, located in the city of Rosario, was built to commemorate the historic anniversary of the raising of the first Argentine flag in the region. The monument is made up of a 75-meter-high spire in pink granite, topped with a bronze statue of Manuel Belgrano, the Argentine colonel who created the Flag in 1812. The central passage in the spire leads to the “Patio de los Cuatro Vientos” which houses the remains of the first flag raised in Rosario. The monument also includes historical gardens and a museum exhibiting objects related to the Argentine Flag. The monument is located in the Paseo de la Bandera, a popular gathering spot in Rosario where visitors can enjoy an incomparable view of the city.
