The Monumento a Vittorino da Feltre stands in Piazza Maggiore, the civic heart of Feltre’s hilltop old town in Veneto. It commemorates the locally born Renaissance humanist and educator, whose school in Mantua combined classical studies with moral development and physical exercise, helping shape humanist approaches to teaching. His memorial shares the square with a statue of Panfilo Castaldi, another figure celebrated in Feltre’s cultural history. The statue’s raised pedestal creates a strong vertical accent against the piazza’s historic façades, connecting the square’s architectural setting with the town’s intellectual heritage.
