Montmorency Falls

Montmorency Falls is a majestic waterfall located in Québec City, Canada. Towering 84 m (275 feet) above its base, it is an impressive 30 m (98 feet) higher than Niagara Falls! The name of the falls is derived from the French noble family Montmorency. The area around the falls offers many tourist attractions, including a cable car and interpretation centre. The best way to discover the falls is by taking the cable car, which offers a breathtaking view of the impressive site. Once on the other side of the river, visitors can enjoy the view from the bridge and stairs leading to the foot of the falls, enabling them to feel the power of the five powerful cascades. Those up for a challenge can take the 424 steps leading to the first viewpoint. For those who want to escape the crowds, there is a hiking trail offering the best views of the falls from the top.
