Montagne de Taconnaz, located in Les Houches in the French Alps, is a must-see destination for hikers and mountaineers. The peak, at an altitude of 3,162 meters, offers amazing views of the Chamonix valley and the Mont Blanc range. The south face of the peak is accessible for anyone who's fit and keen to scale it and is accompanied by breathtaking views of the Grand Combe Glacier. Snow is common here from December to April. The north face is more challenging and is not recommended for inexperienced mountaineers due to the steepness and the presence of ice. Adventurous tourists can access this peak via a few routes, such as walking to the top, paragliding from the peak and rock or ice climbing. There are some easily accessible alpine huts in the area, which offer travelers a comfortable refuge and base camp as they explore the mountain.
