Møns Klint rises along the eastern coast of Møn, near Busene, where white chalk walls drop steeply to the Baltic Sea. Reaching about 128 metres at their highest point, the cliffs expose chalk formed from countless microscopic marine organisms and later folded and displaced by Ice Age glaciers. Their pale faces, dark bands of flint, blue-green water and dense beech forest create the site’s distinctive contrasts; views from the clifftop emphasize scale, while the pebble beach reveals layers, textures and fallen chalk at close range. Long stairways connect several viewpoints with the shore. Because erosion and rockfalls continually reshape the cliffs, visitors should remain on marked routes and respect closures.
