The Monoliths of Stone (also known as the Ronda Monoliths in Spanish: Los Monolitos de Piedra de Ronda) are a series of seven monoliths, located on the slopes of the Sierra de las Nieves Natural Park, just outside the town of Ronda in Spain. The monoliths, which date from the Moorish era, feature an assortment of intricate carvings, including crosses, snakes and geometrical shapes. The site, which was declared a National Monument in 1952, offers a unique glimpse into pre-Roman Spain, with spectacular views and a chance to explore an ancient landscape. Visitors to the site can hike and explore the ruins of the surrounding area, and follow trails to reach the monoliths. There are also a number of viewpoints, allowing for impressive vistas of the surrounding landscape. There is a small fee to enter the area, but it is well worth the cost.
